The location of Chestnuts House was great as quiet but only a ten minute walk to town. Tony was an excellent host and very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty. Would definitely recommend this property.

The breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated the complimentary parking, although it might be a tight fit for less experienced drivers. The rooms were beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. 3 large windows allowed for ample natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Nice shower, stable internet connection and we enjoyed the complimentary sweets. The honesty bar was a convenient addition, offering a variety of snacks and drinks.

A great location, with easy access to the main restaurant and shopping areas of Bath. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Free access to a pantry with fruit, biscuits and confectionery was a plus.

I stayed on my own but my son and daughter-in-law joined me for breakfast as I had originally booked for two and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and a very nice touch to have a coffee for the journey home. Thank you

The Dukes is a very nice hotel consisting of two houses knocked into one. It is perfectly located and is just a short stroll into Bath city centre. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Our room (Wellington) was situated on the 2nd floor and was spacious (suite), was well furnished, complete with a comfortable bed, two televisions, complimentary tea & coffee and two bath robes. Breakfast was very good and catered for all different tastes.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.

Friendly reception. Clean good sized room. Very good (continental) breakfast, value for money. On site parking. Perfect location for a family celebration event. Nice bathroom, plentiful toiletries though shower a bit weak.
Lovely pair of en-suite rooms in a pretty annex to the pub - perfect for a family group. We were travelling with an elderly lady with dementia and it felt safe and private. Very comfortable, clean rooms. Super comfy beds with crisp cotton bedding. Great supper in the pub with excellent food and ambience. The bathrooms were high quality.
Our stay was great, the staff could not do enough for us during our time there. Nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. The drive to Longleat was approximately 20 minutes so it was a great location for us.
