Beautiful place to stay and easy to get to the city centre as the bus stop is very close by. No need to take the car as it was only £2.00 per person on the bus. The staff were very friendly throughout our 2 night stay. Lovely luxurious bedrooms. The food was delicious, evening meal and breakfast. The bar isn't very expensive either. The Plough Inn is excellent.

The friendly, approachable staff nothing was too much trouble in all areas of the hotel.
The room (think we was lucky and got a upgrade) was a very good size with plenty of space to move around, very clean with everything you could wish to have. The beds where comfortable with extra pillows if needed.
The food in the restaurant was very good with plenty of choice for the evening meal and breakfast.
Will definitely be back!

Absolute loved our stay here - felt very relaxed, and the hotel has brilliant touches throughout - kick starting with the luggage collection from the station.

Comfy room and beds and very friendly helpful staff. Lovely building containing so much history. Perfect for access into York and Railway station.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Perfectly located for our mini break with 2 children. 10 mins to park and ride into York and 10 minutes to a large leisure shopping park/supermarkets. The kids loved the bath at the end of the bed and we found it handy to have a kitchenette for food prep. Useful to have washing up liquid/tea towels and extra loo rolls etc as these aren’t often included. Apartment was clean and smelt fresh on arrival. Plenty of towels/hand towels provided.
The location was perfect for visiting our family nearby and the beds were very comfy. The Kitchen was also well stocked with all the crockery and utensils you could need. We were also impressed and welcomed the bits for our toddler.
Lovey, spacious room with everything we needed. Very nicely decorated and having the big bath in the room was a fun extra. The thoughtful extras left for us (chocolate, wine and crisps) was a really nice touch.
The location is perfect for a trip to York, close enough to the city yet set amongst quiet rural surroundings. Clean, modern, comfortable accommodation and perfect for families, the kitchenette especially useful.
