The Hand Hotel, hotel in Glyn-Ceiriog

The hotel is in Llangollen town centre, looking out over the River Dee. It mixes original character with modern comforts, including free Wi-Fi, free parking and a riverside garden.

Although the room was a little small it was comfortable enough and we had a view over the river. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold options, although the addition of some croissants would not have gone amiss. We have stayed at The Hand before and knew what t expect as far as the look of the hotel. The main reason we returned is it's location in the centre of Llangollen and it's large car park. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Everything! The food is amazing. The staff are so friendly and do everything possible to make your stay great. I come back to this hotel all the time either on my own for some peace and quiet or with family/friend’s. Everybody says the same.

Great hotel and value for money. Bar was lovely to sit in and the food was also brilliant. We had staff member Poppy see is into the hotel and she was really nice and friendly. Had the superior family room which was a good size, cosy and clean. There was a beer garden that looked lovely to sit in but the weather was a bit wet and cold, so we didn't really use it, but was there if needed. Would recommend if you're doing a quiet / chilled get away.

A perfect room for the family to stay in, with a lovely play area just across the way. A cosy spot to settle into at night, with the separate kids room being perfect for our needs. Lovely staff, decent food, charming location.

The room was suitable for 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 6). We were provided with clean towels daily and the room was also cleaned. The park across the hotel was perfect which the kids really enjoyed. We loved the powerful shower.

Staff were all absolutely lovely. Rooms were nice and clean, playground located in front of hotel was handy. Decor in rooms was pleasant and hotel in general felt welcoming. We would definitely stay again, but in a different room type for our family of 2 adults and 2 small children.

We loved the family room, there was plenty of space for myself, two older children and our dog. My children loved the breakfast but I would have liked some fruit to be offered and more cereal choice. Was good value for money.
