Derrin Guest House, hotel in Glenoe

A period property in a quiet residential street, with free Wi-Fi and free parking, Derrin Guest House is less than 5 minutes’ drive away from the P&O Ferry Terminal at Larne Harbour.

Larne's a relatively quiet place but is a nice day trip and Derrin Guest House is a great place to stay over. Personally visited for the football at Larne FC so it was nicely situated close to not only the club but food, drink and shopping outlets. Incredibly clean, lovely attentions to detail. Friendly and welcoming owners and a great selection for breakfast. Bed was perfect.

Walnut Apartment Larne, hotel in Glenoe

Walnut Apartment Larne is located in Larne, 38 km from The Waterfront Hall, 38 km from Titanic Belfast, and 40 km from The Belfast Empire Music Hall.

It was welcoming, the lights had been turned on for us as our flight was delayed and it was dark and wet when we arrived so really appreciated that. Plus it smelt fresh and clean when we walked in. My bed was very comfortable and there was extra pillows etc in wardrobe. There was a welcome basket with drinks and snacks. Tea and coffee etc in kitchen. I loved the step stool, so I could get in bath and have a shower, as I was a bit worried about it but that was my problem, I may be disabled but I don’t like to think I can’t do this but was really pleased because I managed to get in and out using stool and shower door. Wish I thought of that before changing my bathroom into a shower room.

The staff were so friendly. Breakfast was delicious and they remembered little things that we asked for (like strawberry jam for our kids) - nothing was too much trouble. Felt like they really paid attention to detail which I appreciated. Room was spotless and very comfortable, lovely toiletries too.
