The little market town, where the Saracen's Head is placed is a gem - very pretty. The Saracen's Head itself is a characterful Tudor building. The bar and dining room were characterful too. Plenty of local ales, a varied menu and lovely staff and locals. The evening meal was delicious. All "homemade", fresh ingredients and plentiful portions.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Lovely grounds and location. Clean comfortable rooms. Everything working and up to date. Food was excellent particularit breakfast. Staff super friendly. Beautiful floodlight terrace. Gardens maintained and lovely. Parking easy. All effortless. We stayed overnight with family and had dinner in the terrace room. There was a wedding on that they were solicitous in telling us about ahead but we ate in a different part of the hotel and it was all lovely.
Stayed two nights whilst visiting the area and meeting up with family. The rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of space for clothes. Tea/coffee was good and more available if required. Meals were excellent.
Busy venue with excellent staff.
It is a really fun place to stay, quirky with some top-notch extras such as Dyson hairdryer, GHD straightners, and beautiful Cowshed products to use. Clean, minimal, but extremely comfortable.
Fantastic setting on the banks of the Rover Thames. Room was situated in a private courtyard with outside seating complete with sheepskin rugs. Spacious themed room with tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water provided
Family-friendly with style. Really lovely rooms, nicely appointed and decorated. Cosy and Christmassy lounge, serving free coffee. Diner booths are great. Cocktails are very good. Waffles are fluffy and delicious. Front of house staff in diner are brilliant, same for the Motel lounge.
The location was good for what we needed as we were there to attend a family funeral. The staff was lovely especially Julie on reception and Simon the barman.
Beautiful hotel, lovely family room with separate single sofa beds for the children. Absolutely outstanding food in the restaurant. Bar on site. Plenty of parking. Staff friendly and attentive.
