Jo was a fantastic host and very welcoming. My room was huge, as was the bathroom. Everything was spotless. The property is extremely handy for the railway station. In particular my breakfast was absolutely delicious and Jo kindly facilitated a Gluten Free and Vegetarian breakfast. The porridge with stewed fruit was a highlight.

Really characterful rooms, fascinating building, kind staff and lovely breakfast. Great to have a family room we could fit our family of 4 in, rather than having to split into 2 rooms.

We stayed here with some family as I was getting married , Amanda was very accommodating to our needs and more ,she went above and beyond to make sure out stay was as special as the wedding we had there. She even took the time to bake us a wedding cake and we had full use of the summer house so our families could have a get together after the wedding ceremony. Rooms were well appointed ,clean warm all facilities of tea and coffee included breakfast was ample and offered more if needed , very welcoming indeed .

Very friendly staff in this old-style family hotel. Although the hotel was almost full that did not prevent efficiency or have the staff behave in a harassed way. The hotekl has its own parking to the rear, but parking on the street is easy and safe in every way. A good breakfast.
