Argyll Arms Hotel is set on Campbeltown’s main street, close to the seafront and where the ferries leave for Ardrossan. The hotel was once the Duke of Argyll’s Victorian hunting lodge and now features comfortable rooms and a restaurant.

All i want from a hotel are the "3Bs" - bed, bathroom & bar with breakfast optional extra. In those respects, the hotel performed admirably. Have stayed there before in v. comfortable room. Staff went to the trouble of allocating that room for me. Can't ask for any more than that.

John and David have managed to merge an exceptional level of professionalism with warmth, sincere hospitality and generosity. They simply couldn't do more and have taken their normal levels of hospitality, cleanliness and great food and service to an even higher level covid and post covid with every precaution taken care of. For a very reasonable price we enjoyed a huge range of luxuries and extras, fabulous accommodation, wonderful, plentiful and delicous food and great company. We can only echo the previous reviews and say, our advice, if they have a vacancy then book it! As we kept saying whilst we were there, we'll be back and next time for a week! Last but not least we loved meeting the adorable Gino and if you guys ever need a pet sitter you know where we are!

The owner gave us a very warm welcome (Flowers on the table were so lovely). The lodge is only 15 minutes away from Campbeltown, very convenient but very secluded and quiet. ☺️ Beds were all beautifully made. Kids enjoyed their own big wardrobe room. It was fun watching horses in the farm from the windows.

Really big house and suitable for a large family gathering. Nice big rooms, many of them en-suite. Plenty of cooking facilities in the kitchen, plates, glasses etc. Has a very "home" feel. We are all thinking about coming back for our next gathering of the clan.
