Our hosts were absolutely brilliant. Very welcoming and friendly. Also provided good advice on places to eat. The rooms were excellent, well designed, lots of thoughtful touches, clean and comfortable. I couldn’t fault anything and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place if you are visiting Ayr.

Very nice room, although at the very top of the hotel - not easy to carry suitcases up the narrow staircase, but the young lad at reception helped. Food OK, but a bit limited for the non-cooked breakfast items. Big problem was the lack of staff, but those who were there were excellent, especially the young girl who filled in at dinner - and she was on her first ever shift!
An award-winning hotel located in Ayrshire, 5 minutes' drive from Prestwick International Airport and with easy links by rail and road to Glasgow and Edinburgh city centre.

The Craigengillan estate is beautiful and a stunning location, particularly as the weather was amazing. The pod was lovely and clean. Plenty of space both inside and outside. The opportunity for the kids to see horses being shod at the stables was great.
Beautiful location views were amazing!
Pod was clean and had everything needed
Would 100% return, kids had a great time and dog also enclosed area which was bonus.
Lovely, traditional cottage. The location is on a well-managed, beautiful and tranquil estate, with plentiful woodland and river walks for dogs and/or kids.
The view from the pod is fantastic, as well as the little outside seating/eating area. It is quite a large pod and so you don't feel like you're on top of each other. Lovely for kids as plenty of place for them to run around and play.
Great place to stay. Good for families and group of friends. There is a nice chalet with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Make sure you bring bedding as they only provide pillows. But such a peaceful location. Loved It. Will be back for sure
The surroundings where beautiful, cottage lovely and cosy. Beds comfy and home well equipped. Host was amazing, had a slight issue which was sorted so quickly. Kids loved playing in the woods and by the river. Loved finding a little face hidden in the brickwork.
