Charming staff, nice hotel. If I were to be very picky, then perhaps the room could have been easier to cool.

Featuring a garden and views of lake, Denham Mount is a country house situated in a historic building in Buckinghamshire, 5.7 km from Uxbridge. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The country house features a hot tub and a shared kitchen.

For guests with children, Denham Mount provides an indoor play area. Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area.

This is an excellent hotel in a 200 year old property which I understand opened in October 2023, with 8 bedrooms. It is accessed along a small ,narrow country lane and the caretakers had sent us a message two days before check in with a mobile phone number to call, this automatically opens the gates . The hotel and its setting were a surprise for us as it is in a completely rural setting with lovely gardens. The hotel supplies continental breakfast but has no restaurant yet, I understand that one is planned , together with a liquor license . There is a communal kitchen guests can use to cook supper and use the breakfast room to eat , we brought food and it worked perfectly . The breakfast room also has tables outside in the garden and a BBQ and hot tub nearby . There are 2 cosy lounges with comfortable armchairs looking onto the garden and one has a TV. The caretakers, Chelsea and Daren met us on arrival and took us to our room , they live on the premises and are both very helpful . Our room had a beautiful garden view , a desk and chair ,TV, and a very comfortable bed , the en suite shower is very large and efficient . Wifi throughout the property was fast and all the traditional windows have double glazing so property ,although old, is warm . The gardens are quite large and worth exploring , there are horses and ponies on site . We had a very enjoyable one night stay on our way to the airport , we will stay again.

Originally a 16th-century coaching inn, The Crown in Old Amersham offers dining, traditional hospitality and easy access to the M40, M25, M1 and M4. Free parking and Wi-Fi is available on-site.

The Crown has a mixture of traditional and modern bedrooms, including the four-poster suite that featured in the film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’.

We stay here because it is close to Heathrow airport. The staff is very nice and helpful. We are not fans of the full English breakfast and The Crown gives you options for breakfast.

Recently refurbished in a traditional English style, this charming country house hotel is located in the quiet, peaceful Chiltern village of Chenies, just 10 minutes from the M25 motorway.

Originally built in 1860, the Bedford Arms is an attractive Elizabethan-style inn that was once owned by the Duke of Bedford.

Our room was very spacious and elegantly decorated. We enjoyed being there and would love to come again if possible! In fact we stayed extra days and cancelled another hotel, because we felt so at home!

Great value for money, really good food (especially breakfast) and comfortable room. Quite funny how they add watercress to literally every dish I had, even dessert. Would stay again.

Super staff, bar team were welcoming and accommodating- even accommodated 4 non resistants for breakfast (2 adults 2 kids) thanks to the team and Yin. Yin (manger) took my hotel feedback and issued a refunded our 4 non resident breakfasts, and couldn’t it have been more apologetic. We have used the WH many, many times. It’s conveniently placed and typically offers a room and venue that’s ideal for what we use it for… See comments below ..

The breakfast was excellent. We didn't eat dinner. Best described as a nice English pub in style. The room we stayed in was in a block away from the main Hotel. Might be difficult in the rain, but also meant the rooms were quiet. We booked here because we were meeting friends close by, but it is very handy for London, Heathrow and the M25. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pub has a large off street car park.

The location is very easy to understand, and the parking lot is wide, so it is convenient. The breakfast was also delicious, and the buffet had a lot of types such as muffins and fruits, which was fun.

The room was small but cosy with everything we needed and felt like great value for money. Some nice views across the hills and countryside and a delicious breakfast. Streaming services on the telly were a nice addition. We also enjoyed some drinks and food downstairs which had a fun atmosphere.

Friendly and helpful staff; good choice (and quality) on bar menu; good sized bedroom overlooking quiet lane at back, with comfortable double bed; bathroom and shower perfectly functional (though ceiling under eves meant I had to duck a bit to get round it)
