The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The house was cosy, clean and a very good size. The two bathrooms were lovely and one included a big shower cubicle. The location in Cawood by the river is beautiful and only a short drive from York. We had a lovely family break here!

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely large rooms to accommodate us all. Using the Aga was a steep learning curve but managed to cook Christmas dinner for 7. Situated in a very friendly village with 2 pubs (easy walking distance), a village shop and tea rooms. Great walks straight from the house. Ann gave us a warm welcome and was available beforehand to answer any questions. We had a wonderful family Christmas!

A beautiful cottage, with well laid out bedrooms and plenty of space for a large family group, it was full of quirky features and so cosy and warm. We used the cottage as a base for a day out to Stockeld Park approximately half an hour away, which worked well for us. Great communication from the host and housekeeping team we really enjoyed our stay at The Old Mill.

The pictures don’t do it justice. Such a lovely cottage in a nice village. Shop round the corner with local goodies. Two pubs nearby. The living room had an impressive fireplace and a Christmas tree, which was very much appreciated. Perfect for a pre Christmas celebration with the family.
