The area is absolutely beautiful. We received a little help from the neighbor, who was very kind and willing to help us out. Breirs itself was very clean and inviting. We first met Margaret at check-in and she was lovely! She gave us recommendations about local places to eat and visit. The garden was a nice spot to view in the morning with coffee. Absolutely the cleanest place we stayed the entire trip. Everything was scrubbed to the nth degree. The host was outstanding, as were her communications. The place is very well equipped, safe, and has a great kitchen. Good wifi and smart TV. There is a bit of street noise until 10 pm or so, but it is quiet after that. What a lot of people will like is the location, since it is just a block off the main streets of Newcastle and is near the beach. Also, just a short walk to the trailhead for Slieve Donard, Newcastle's spectacular mountain. A great private parking spot right at the front door.
