We have stayed twice and loved it both times. Wonderful surroundings. Very peaceful. Welcoming staff. Beautiful rooms and amenities.

This was a short trip away to celebrate my birthday. Neither my husband or I had been to Ripon before so we were not sure what to expect. The staff were excellent, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with really good choices. Totally different from the normal offerings at other establishments. The evening meals were outstanding too, food presentation and value for money 10/10. I would not hesitate in recommending Valentino's to anyone. A bonus to be able to park in a busy centre too. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff members. We also had a meal at their sister property The Water Rat, a short stroll along the river. Equally as good food and excellent staff too. Thank you so much for a really lovely stay and we will definitely be returning in the future. Ripon is very lucky to have a place like yours!!!
With parts of the building dating back 700 years, this former coaching inn stands on the market square in the ancient city of Ripon, at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

The room was lovely and not too hot as is the case in so many hotels. Nicely furnished and clean.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Good atmosphere, quirky, fun decor. Lovely staff - very friendly. Room was great - clean and comfortable. Good choice at breakfast - and the evening meal was excellent.
After my last few bookings being in functionally effective airport hotels, what a pleasure to experience a characterful hotel like Grantham Arms, in a pretty little historic town like Boroughbridge. Lovely welcoming staff throughout, quirkily humorous Yorkshire elements of décor in the bedrooms, homely little rooms for dining, beautifully presented plates at dinner and breakfast - a joy throughout!
The breakfast was perfect, nice selection with great friendly and professional staff.
The dinner (food in general) was very nice and perfectly presented and as above great service.
The children's menu was great value, for a 11+ year old.
We loved everything about the downstairs of the hotel, it's beautiful.
The pool and gym etc. was the main reason for our visit, due to the weather forecast, and we really enjoyed the leisure facility's.
Perfect location as it was a short walk to your family's house. A really modern apartment with great facilities. It was very comfortable and spacious. Easy to collect the keys and check-in. Nice walk-in shower.
Loved the food, decor and extremely friendly staff! The room was clean and very comfortable. Decor was tasteful and interesting. Family meal was delicious and very good value for money!
We stayed in the Grantham Arms whilst celebrating Xmas with family close by. Our room was delightful and the staff were great. We had a lovely couple of days and will stay again.
