Great experience, mansion straight out of the movie or a novel. We loved it! Such an experience! Kitchen facilities were very nice. Kids loved our stay,. especially the game room. I was there for one night and was not for sightseeing. This room was exactly what I wanted and needed. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and a great value. Nice extras like a kettle with tea and a biscuit awaited me upon arrival. The room was very small, but was all I needed and was perfect. The breakfast was incredible with fresh fruit, fresh muffins and a cooked breakfast served individually. My breakfast was salmon and eggs and was excellent. Last, but not least, the host was very chatty and interesting. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved him. He even let me pet his dogs.

The staff went above expectations to insure we had a great stay. Restaurant was exceptional. Neighborhood Lounge and bar was on premise. Bus stop at hotel entrance. Loved the thick walls and breakfast room decor. But the staff is what makes this an excellent place to stay. Location is about twelve miles out of Edinburgh and is in walking distance to Roslyn Chapel.
