It was a great affordable hotel, my room very comfortable and the welcome was very friendly. I enjoyed the beautiful view from my window on the second floor and would certainly stay again if I was in the neighbourhood.

Fabulous location and a very well equipped gite. Spacious accommodation, very comfortable furnishings, superbly equipped kitchen. Lots of space both inside and out. Well kept pool area, access to BBQ, hosts very attentive and considerate. No A/C but plenty of fans provided for both bedrooms and lounge area. Useful and fully functional shutters (traditional) as well as a couple of electric blinds on bathroom velux windows, which meant rooms well insulated from light for sleeping. Very peaceful location.

Breakfast was plentiful with the usual juice, fruit, yoghurt, muesli, bread, cake cheese and meats. All guests, each couple from a different country, ate together at the huge table, and shared their holiday experiences. It was interesting and fun. Stunning room - Veronica. All v impressive.

The hotel is newly renovated, light and airy. Very nice grounds, far from busy roads. Great views over the valley. Good casual dinning (didn’t try the other onsite restaurant). The terrace restaurant is a great experience in summer, especially with live music (frequent) and balloons in the air at the sunset. The babysitting services and the playroom is a plus! The outdoor swimming pool is nice. The indoor swimming pool was not open yet (August 2022).

We were very pleased that there was an affordable hotel at the end of the season in a beautiful location close to where we were visiting. We appreciated the cleanliness and comfort - and rather enjoyed the quirky nature of the many little repairs and renovations. The restaurant and lounge areas look to be very popular so we look forward to returning and will certainly recommend to others wishing to have an inexpensive stay away from home.

The property is huge, light and airy and has a breathtaking view over the countryside below and far into the distance. The gardens are delightful and a lovely place to just ‘be’ after breakfast in the morning sunshine. Our room was really comfortable with a fabulous bed and the Spa treatment was great. ALL the staff are really friendly, attentive and helpful. Laurie (on reception) welcome us like family or old friends - she has such a lovely manner and really goes the extra mile to make everything flow.

Great little hotel, run by helpful and very friendly staff. Lovely gardens and our son spent a good deal of time in the great pool. The room had aircon which was essential in these extreme temperatures, travelled with family and dogs and was made to feel very comfortable and at home. The hotel is in a great position, quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes by car from the river and Vitrac. The owners have a lovely wee dog that is very friendly and accepting of other dogs. Great place to relax and enjoy the dordogne.
