It was an opportunity to experience a unique story of a chateau which was steeped in the history of aeroplane invention and lovingly restored from near ruin by a family who very nearly committed to making it French TV’s own ‘Escape to the Chateau’. It is quirky and perhaps not the finished article, but much appreciated by us and it seems the other guests. To like? The grounds and ease of parking. Small number of guests, care and attention of staff, fabulous location at the confluence of Loire and Maine.

A very peaceful location. Comfy beds and lovely clean ensuite. The breakfast was of an excellent quality.

Beautifully appointed gite in tranquil village setting. Easy to find and pick up keys. Gite was well stocked with all necessary items for self catering including treats for the Easter weekend! Walking distance to Chateau for cheese and wine tour on working family wine farm!
The property was beautiful with a wonderful mix of old world charm and modern appliances. A lovely marriage of design. The hosts are a wonderful family that share their passion for food,antiques and could not be more welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would travel many miles to stay here again.
