This is a very big apartment in the very centre of attractive Bessines sur Gartemps. There's a clear effort to please, it's nicely furnished with some high spec stuff, and it all feels very new. The bar is across the square and on Wednesday (I'm not promising every week!) there was a pizza wagon in the square as well. Street parking was no problem.
25 km from Limoges and Oradour sur Glane, on the edge of the A20 motorway, Hotel Restaurant RIVE GAUCHE has a garden, bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and soundproofed rooms.

This properly is not fit for habitation and should not be on any site been allowed to be booked. Was given a big long message about been met at the property and would give information for places to see and where to eat, well from the very beginning , when we couldn’t find the accommodation due to no clear signage or directions from owners. I message via booking.com and was rang by a women who hadn’t a word of English and couldn’t understand that I was asking for directions to the place. After that there was no contact from them, and they even ignored my calls and messages. They advertise as speaking English, French and Germany well I can assure you they don’t speak English . When we did eventually find the property we were greeted by a building site , the only way to describe it. The apartment was on the first floor which was never mentioned. The stairs were a makeshift steep, dimly lit and lethal. The apartment was advertised as having a lake view and a terrace I can assure u there is neither!!!! The whole place was dirty and the floors were all gritty like workmen had been walking in and out with their boots. The bathroom had the previous persons showering gels still in the shower and the hand basin and their toothbrush and tooth paste on the side! The wiring of the lights were absolutely horrendous with stripped wires🤬 there was 2 of us for 9 days and we were left 2 towels each for 9 days!!!!!!! At the bottom of the stairs was a make shift area blocked off and the fowl stench of sewage coming up into the apartment was absolutely disgusting 🤢 and vile!!!! The place stated no parties, hen parties or stag parties however we came back after a tiring day on the Saturday to be greeted by 20 to 30 cars parked everywhere.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The room (with a living room area) is big, the surroundings are beautiful. We went with dog and baby and felt very comfortable. Breakfast is nothing fancy, but nice (classic bread, butter and jam). We had relaxing stay, very peaceful.
