We were traveling from Portugal by car and arrived very late but there was someone still waiting for us and was super understanding. The property was pet friendly which was necessary for us and we were able to bring our 2 small dogs and 1 cat. There was a lot of puzzles that were very entertaining and the decor was very nice. Very nice homemade breakfast, extremely kind owner, entire object was very clean and nicely designed. Lovely, very well maintained garden. Nice swimming pool. Beautiful area surrounded with vineyards. Overall, we recommend the stay, especially if you would like to rest. Even though there were some minor points that we didn't like, and that could improve, it was a good stay.

It was like taking a step back into an olde worlde era with Le Grand Manoir d’Aleksandr’s grandiose style and feel! Charming and welcoming, and close enough to beautiful Saint Emillion driving through magnificent French countryside with views of the surrounding vineyards. Very helpful and responsive hosts who recommended restaurants in the area and also helped accommodate our toddler with a camp cot. Glorious home style lunches sipping local Bordeaux blends under the Magnolia trees!
