Fabulous, newly renovated Orangerie full of personal details. Marie was there to greet us and hand over keys. The rooms were all tastefully decorated and the beds were lovely. We only wish we had more time and better weather to make the most of the many amenities. Gilles was delightful at checkout. What a lovely family.

We loved the garden and pool. The location is a little way from nearest village and even though you could walk it a vehicle would be better.

La Fosse Seche is a little paradise. Very quiet, with lovely hosts who do their utmost to accommodate their guests. The evening skies are gorgeous, the pool is clean and refreshing, and the donkeys and other animals are a great bonus especially with kids. We stayed in the family room with 3p, plenty of space and everything we needed (small fridge, microwave, kettle, crockery) and more (large selection of boardgames). Do try the breakfast :-). Many small towns nearby where you can eat out and sightsee. You do need a car.
Saint-Branchs (Near Saint-Bauld)
With a Napoleon III style, Cèdre et Charme is set in a large park with century-old trees and an outdoor swimming pool in the centre of Saint-Branchs. There is a garden, terrace and table tennis on site. Tours is only a 25-minute drive away.

We chose Une Maison en Touraine because we wanted air conditioning (there are very few accommodations in France that have A/C), as we are fairly heat-intolerant being from Seattle. Our expectations were more than met! We loved the bucolic feel of this bed and breakfast, the careful attention to the charming decor (garden-themed in our room), and the cozy outdoor spaces for lounging. In addition, we were so happy to have access to a small but complete kitchen including dishwasher, so we could cook dinner after a long day of sightseeing. Finally, our host Anne was extremely kind and attentive. She not only provided us with a daily continental/hot breakfast (basket full of breads, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee/tea; one breakfast had eggs and another had crepes), but she also was so kind in providing us first-aid for my daughter's burn. Highly recommend!

Philippe and Christelle are most welcoming and supportive. The setting is perfect for a relaxing get away--remote, with beautiful trees, peace and quiet, outdoor seating areas and sunsets across a cow pasture. The pool and jacuzzi are perfect and the property is very pet friendly. Nearby bakeries, groceries, castles and vineyards are all drive-able. I would like to go back just to stay here!
