Everyone was super helpful. They now offer a supper charcuterie and cheese board which was perfect with a chilled glass of rose in the garden.

Excellent accommodation for a great holiday with amazing food at the restaurant. The lovely hosts have created a very special place here and we were so glad we booked and would love to return. The apartment was perfect for our family and we all loved the pool and pretty courtyard. Nice views of Chinon and easy for enjoying the delights of this wonderful region. Best pizzas and creme brûlée - such a bonus!

5 of us stayed at La Douce France for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is really spacious and you can see the effort that has gone into providing everything you could need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well kept and the pool, garden, bbq area mean you can spend full days there in the sun. The house was clean on arrival and off-street parking is provided. No shops nearby but only a 20min walk to Chinon which has plenty of restaurants and boulangeries, and cycle and canoe hire.

Marielle was a great hostess, we felt very cared for, comfortable, and at home. Everything was exceptionally clean and the pool is a great place to cool off or enjoy the sun. Sweet breakfast is provided and if you're unsure on where to go or what to do, Marielle has great recommendations for you - both to fill your chateau viewing schedule or your belly. Absolutely recommend, say hi to the family dogs for us.
We had such a wonderful warm welcome from Marielle and her communication was fantastic even before we arrived. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the rooms and bathrooms, to the delicious breakfast. It was great that Marielle allowed us to use the dining table to feed our children at in the evening rather than already needing to take them out to a restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend Rêves et Rivières to families. It was great to be able to visit the town of Chinon nearby which was a beautiful place to walk around with the kids.
Marielle and Arnoud were wonderful hosts! They were Friendly and welcoming as well as being extremely helpful in making our trip to the region a fantastic experience. From recommending and booking fabulous restaurants and activities on our behalf, to helping with any requests, they could not have been be more helpful. Our family suite, The house and grounds were immaculate, the breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented.
