We arrived at La Bonne Etape after a long car ride - were feeling tired . This hotel had been selected as our " splurge " hotel as it had a Michelin star restaurant and was a Chateau and Relais hotel. When we arrived we were greeted outside the front doors by our wonderful host Stephanie. She was most welcoming - got us settled and made us a reservation for dinner at Cafe Gabby. It was so nice not to have to go out to find a restaurant - ate at Gabby twice.Our Michelin star meal was for our last night.Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the pool , mountains and gardens.A carafe of water, biscuits and a lovely welcoming note were left in our room - a such a nice touch. Stephanie suggested what to do in the area and as well as walking trails close by.The public spaces were beautiful - filled with elegant furnishings and paintings. Our final dinner at Bonne Etape was beyond expectation - had wine pairings with the courses - amazing service, beautiful presentation on lovely serving dishes - very polished service.The Master Chef came around after the meal to see if we enjoyed our meal- an unexpected but very special surprise. Tuck in service in our room was appreciated each night with a special herbal tea and " jelly" candy! Tourist Brochure in the room was very handy. Huge fan of L'Occtaine - which was the toiletry product used.

What a stunning property! Beautifully renovated by our host Pierre. The most idyllic view and so peaceful. The pool was such a gorgeous bonus too. We could easily have have stayed for longer, if we weren’t on a schedule to move on. The fresh breakfast on the terrace was exquisite. A huge thank you to Pierre for our welcome, the offer of help with our bags, amazing accomodation and a beautiful breakfast.

Our rather big group (16) stayed at this hotel after a wedding so we only needed the room for a few hours. As requested, we had rooms next to each other so it was easy to find each other. The rooms either had a fan or A/C to cool us down. There was plenty of space to park our cars and access during the night was possible.

House owned by nice elderly people - you'll be renting the lower level with a shower, toilet, bedroom and small living room. There is a parking spot in front of the house and an independent entry. The place is quite big - and really good price for value if you don't mind spending the night a bit outside of town (10min by car)

The host was very obliging. For motorcyclist I was able to put my motorcycle in the gentleman’s garage . Always a piece of mind it will be there in the morning.
