The property is absolutely stunning- a quintessential French Mill stay. The breads and homemade yogurt and jams were spectacular. Most of all, the couple who own it are fantastic and were above and beyond kind.

We were lucky to find a last minute reservation at Les Bords de Loire as we decided to pass through the Loire valley over the weekend. We really enjoyed that it was a family run operation, with a single apartment upstairs, and their upscale restaurant downstairs. The apartment was clean, modern, and plenty spacious for a family of 4, with a large comfortable bed in one room and the 2 twin beds being in a separate room for the kids. We only spent 2 nights there, but could have easily spent a week thanks to the space and well equipped kitchen, etc. The location is excellent, being right across the street from the Loire river (it even has a slight view on it), and right between Blois and Amboise. It is a short drive to many of the sites in the Loire region, but you can come back to a quiet retreat with free easy parking, and even a nice garden outside of restaurant hours. We also really enjoyed eating at their restaurant, "La Croix Blanche". It was clearly upscale French cuisine, but it was friendly enough to accommodate our family with 2 younger children. Laeticia and Jean-Francois were warm and welcoming hosts, and I highly recommend staying with them if you get a chance!

Wonderfull place to stay while visiting the Loire region!! My wife, daughter (1y old) and I stayed with John & Sylvie for one week. We used this place as our home away from home to explore the Loire region. The Gîte is centrally located in the region, and it therefore is easy to make day trips to e.g. Blois and Amboise, but also to one of the largest Zoo's in Europe, and an abundance of French chateaux! John & Sylvie are extremely welcoming and heartwarming people who go above and beyond to make you feel at home at their gîte! Whether you're looking for some time to relax in the garden, enjoying the sound of the birds, or just want to use the gîte as a place to recharge after a long day at one of the many chateaux, we can highly recommend staying with them!

The location is in a very quiet rural location. We had a friendly welcome and helpful information in English. The room was a large size with a Jack and Jill sink and good shower. Good breakfast.

Beautiful grounds and lovely pool that was appreciated in the hot weather. wonderful friendly hosts. Great breakfasts with homemade touches.

We loved the stay, it feels like home away from home. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good as you can see from the pictures took from others. It is a loft room so we have all the privacy. The beds are comfortable, room is very clean and well decorated. The dressing table made my day! And you can park your car inside the gate. The house is located about 15 mins drive from Amboise, very good location to stay if you would like to the visit the different Chateaus in the Loire Valley. The host also give us discount tickets for 2 Chateaus so we get to buy tickets at group price!
