After being warmly greeted by the owner (who is a 3rd generation vintner), we were given a tasting of his wines. The wines are a superb value and were surprisingly VERY good. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The owner suggested a fine restaurant that was a short walk amidst lovely pastoral scenery. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. All told, we had a room 3x the size for 1/3 the price we had paid in St. Emilion the night before. Add the fact that the ambiance of the area reflected the actual growing of grapes rather than St. Emilion’s endless storefronts selling wine made this experience memorable.

This is a beautiful chateau. It’s very big and in a gorgeous setting. The chateau is clean and homely. The kitchen was well equipped and the two bathrooms were lovely.
