Lola our host was very friendly and so informative not only about the chateau but with the area and history. The decor is amazing and time is needed to explore it and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast the first day was very basic, however the second day was much better, with a large bowl of fruit on the table.
We liked the location as it was quiet and very close to the canal, so we had lovely walks into the centre of town.
The bed was very comfortable and we slept well, the balcony was also a bonus
