What isn’t there like about the property ?
Greeted with a quaint road leading up to an idyllic archway into a small courtyard.
Friendly attentive owners greet you and lead you into the building. A masterpiece of design has created a beautiful stay. Large room upstairs with a spacious bathroom. Quiet and roomy. Warm and snug. Huge bed that probably needs two different postcodes.
Hairdryer in the drawer ideal for us drying our wet gloves. WiFi available good reception for that.
A choice of breakfast. I had the full cooked breakfast and Elly had scrambled egg with toast. Also available was cereal and a choice of yoghurts.
Martin and Elaine couldn’t have done enough for us and we thank them for allowing us to stay in what can only be described as a stupendous property. We will definitely recommend this place.

The property is an authentic, rustic farm converted lovingly and carefully into a tasteful, comfortable and beautiful place to stay by the owners who have clearly put every effort and love into the renovation. They are also impeccable hosts who treat their guests like friends, taking care to remember our names. Maison D’Orride sits at the end of a track, with wonderful views of the Pyrenees. Leon the dog was there waiting for us, a gentle giant who my daughter loved. For dinner, we ate in the courtyard which has a beautiful acer tree. Marina made us a delicious pork, potato and aubergine dish followed by local cheeses and an amazing chocolate fondant. The wine was locally sourced. Breakfast was fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads and freshly baked cakes each morning. The pool area was spectacular with its views of the mountains and the whole property is incredibly clean and tidy. There are some “house rules” such as not to eating in rooms but with a property like this, it’s entirely fair. We loved it, thank you!

A wonderful out of the way very quiet location close to the Pyrennes yet only an hour to St Paul les Dax. Great welcoming host. For me, it was only an overnight stop but I could have very happily stayed far longer.
