This was such a beautiful building; enhanced by the friendliness of the hosts Denis and Catherine.
We would have loved to spend a little more time here to explore the amazingly creative world created here, with loads of imaginative touches throughout the rooms and the wider grounds of the property.

First impression on arrival was very positive. The building is truly stunning, as is the garden. Second impression: delightful reception welcome, and really interesting and historic games room and lounge. All the public areas were stunning. And then we got to the bedroom ... It was fine, but wow it was a step down from the rest of the hotel (it really did feel like a different hotel). Suddenly upstairs it felt like an old-fashioned 1980s pub. The contrast was jarring.
