This is a very special place, which really impressed us. It's great value for the price. The standard of the room, communal areas and the pool was very high, akin to a high end boutique hotel. In a good way, the property feels in the middle of nowhere - down a long dirt road, in beautiful countryside. It's very low key and quiet - we spent a good part of one day by the pool, and there was no one else about. We had it to ourselves. The owner was always available if needed but in the main left us to our privacy. Up the road, a 10 minute drive away is the lovely village Tourtour, perched on the hill - great for evening meals (lots of choice for a village) and sunset drinks, and wandering round during the day. We stayed in 8 different hotels, B&Bs and guest houses on a 2-week trip in S France, some of which were considerably more expensive than Domaine Monte Verdi, but it was without doubt the best place we stayed.

Great location at the gateway for Route Napoleon. Beautiful property set in lovely grounds. Nice refreshing swimming pool which was really relaxing after my hard motorcycle ride from Siena that day.
My host for the evening was delightful and the 4 course dinner exceptional. I was very appreciative of the attention to detail and delightful conversation.
My room was very comfortable, the bed especially so. Good bathroom, well equipped and modern.
Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and set me up for the day.

Very lovely, charming and welcoming hosts. The place is very quiet, down a VERY narrow street (like all in France) but the bed was very comfortable, the place VERY clean, and the hosts incredibly friendly. The breakfast was special, unique, and obviously very fresh. These hosts care about what they do. Very good distance from the main city.

A beautiful place with large pool and well kept gardens. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need including your own fridge. The host was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with warm bread, homemade yoghurt and preserves and all products were bio. We loved it here!
