The atmosphere is very home-like and the hostess deserves a special hurray for friendliness, helpfulness, and being a super nice and interesting person. The room was spacious with a lot of daylight and all the conveniences. The Nordic bath is an amazing experience, especially in those days that aren't super hot, which can happen on the west coast. Great breakfast with a few interesting healthy specials like energy juices and spiced overnight oats! Location is great, very close to the old market, one of the city's clusters of great restaurants, walking distance to the harbor and the park.

The studio is in the center of La Rochelle, 2 minutes walk from the main square and about 7-10 minutes from the old port. We always found parking on the street. The studio is very nice, very well equipped and very convenient for a few days stay. However, the best part is the two owners - Jocelyne and Georges - and their wonderful painting all over the house and the studio. Definitely recommended for a reasonable budget stay.
