The place is perfect! Quiet and beautiful. The owner is extremely friendly, she let my children play in the garden and see the animals. Breakfast was prepared with care and had bread, croissants, jam, yogurt, madeleines and coffee. They even had a car charger that they let us use and only charged us for what we used. Very convenient.

A great location for cyclists riding the Voie Verte or a quiet romantic retreat, this cottage is just a short distance from La Magdelaine, one of the picturesque 11 locks of Hédé-Bazouges. It is at the very entrance to a tiny village, adjoining the owner's garden but very private with its own parking, and a secluded terrace area with sun chairs and large dining table and umbrella.
The cottage itself is really cool, with lots of natural wood, large windows and a romantic open loft bedroom that can be curtained off for privacy. We were 3 people and used the downstairs folding sofa as well, and it was comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and the bathroom has a fancy modern multi-spray shower. It's all new and clean and well maintained.
The hosts are very welcoming and charming, and did a great job of being accessible without intruding. They offer a menu that includes home-made pizzas and other snacks, drinks, and simple foods which we very much enjoyed. They also offer breakfast, but as we were leaving early we didn't try it.

The staff cooked us a special 3 course meal as there were no restaurants within walking distance. In addition they washed our muddy cycling clothes and dried them for a departure the morning of the following day. Very helpful indeed.

It was a great experience to sleep on a boat for the first time and the area by the canal is magical. The host is extremely nice and welcoming. He also runs a nice restaurant where you can eat after a long active day in the area.
