This property is a sanctuary of calm. It has only a few rooms and the owners Marie Claire and Vincent live on-site. They were available for anything I needed, from a glass of wine in the afternoon to booking a taxi when I needed to go out for the evening. I felt personally taken care of here.
Their on-site restaurant has exceptional seasonal dishes and a lovely wine list. I booked a standard room, which was more like a suite - sitting room with fireplace and a full kitchen, plus a private outdoor lounge area with seating and table.
The best part of this stay was the peaceful surroundings. I found myself listening to bird song and leaves blowing through the trees - an activity in itself here. The property has stone walls around the perimeter and grounds for walking with tons of beautiful trees that are centuries old. It was so restorative.

Lovely renovated mill. in rural location, beautiful gardens with lots of wildlife around. Beautifully furnished with luxury toiletries and everything to a high standard. Very much a wellness location as there is a jacuzzi, pilates classes etc. We overcame the language barrier with my pigeon French and the home cooked cakes at breakfast were delicious. A lovely restaurant was booked for us and we returned the second night as it was the best cuisine on our trip. Easy distance to visit Versaille and then escape back to relax in tranquility. A pool would be the icing on the cake but that's being greedy! Lovely!

The buildings are very charming and the garden is lush and green. Sylvie, the host, is very friendly and easy going. The new heated pool is amazing and we had a great time relaxing and swimming.
A good location for a stress-free holiday in Croth, Le Chemin du Village is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the garden.

Magali was very kind and welcoming the room was well equipped everything was clean and tidy. Everything was in good working order the garden was very pretty and well kept. Breakfast was very good with alot of thought given to the choice of breakfast supplied, and all very fresh.the area was quiet and felt very safe there was plenty of parking, free. There isn't aircon and there was high temperatures whilst we were there but the room kept relatively cool.

Location for a walk around the lake, a warm welcome when we arrived, a comfortable room and good advice on where to find a meal in Dreux The breakfast was very good.

Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
This is a small mill house on a small river in a small village just outside of Houdan, handy for the N12 and the railway line to Paris. This was a really good 'find'. The accommodation is excellent and there is a gourmet restaurant which we sampled. The cooking s superb. Astonishingly the place seems to be run by one person who does all the gourmet cooking, and one waitress. There is a large garden and a swimming pool. We were visiting family and location was perfect
