Pared back luxury in a former Abbey. Best of all you get access to Fontevraud Abbey after hours until just gone midnight. Food was excellent and eaten in the former cloister.

The house counted with everything we expected. The garden is really nice to have outdoor dinner. Very close to Loire river which is great to go for a walk.

Lovely setting and wonderful host! Only bad thing I have to say is that if there were some curtains on the mainbedroom to the hallway would make it much better! Other than that, We absolutely loved it!

The property was in a lovely location and was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was fantastic . Alex was very helpful and friendly .
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Our third visit. Loved the historic atmosphere the quaint rooms, the tiny mediaeval chapel and the fact the house has been in the same family for more than 200 years. A good restaurant too.
This is an exceptional hotel - we stayed for a significant family birthday and they could not have made it more perfect. Beautiful rooms with period features, generous bathrooms, super-comfy beds. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the staff were generous, kind and helpful. The hotel location is great, right beside the Abbey and within easy walking distance of all the village has to offer. We will be back.

We recommend:Amazing location (use the night tour through the royal abbey) very kind stuff, there are also very kind to the children and a breakfast in the monastery corridors and garden is also highly recommended.
The family that run the hotel are charming and accommodating. I will book directly with the hotel when I stay again. The breakfast and the way it is run is excellent and the restaurant is spot on.
Location was good in centre of Town, interesting property, not the best for people over 6ft as low beams. Games room with table football etc was good for our child.
All in all a good stay.
The hotel is very well located, right next to Fontevraud Abbay. It has a lovely oudoor area with tasbles, and a small swimmingpool. The bedroom was perfectly fine, small and very simple but functional. The breakfast was good.
Stunning location, very peaceful setting and in a very modern, sophisticated hotel. We stayed with children (5 and 3) which was fine but we did feel a bit like we were disturbing the peace! Would definitely go back just the 2 of us next time.
The hotel was ideal for our family. It was a good price, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, there was a lovely breakfast in the morning and the location was perfect
