Sainte Croix is out of the way of everything but La Besace was a jewel of a place. Aga, our hostess couldn't be more friendly and made you feel welcome. Dinner was available on site which was good French home cooking and provided the opportunity to meet other guests. I would definitely recommend.

We booked here because we had already stayed at the Domaine De Barive a month before and wanted to try this place. However, as soon as we booked we were called and told we would stay at the Domaine instead. I think that they use this place as a sort of overflow. At the Domaine we were given a much nicer room than the previous time. On Booking a night at each place that night cost the same except at the Priuré breakfast was included, so we stayed in the Domaine with breakfast and were very happy. It is a very nice place. By the way the prices at these two places vary a lot depending on the night in question.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
We booked a triple room for 2 adults and 2 children, we were pleased to find this was actually 2 rooms connected with a curtain between them, which meant the children could go to bed and my husband and I could have the light on and read in the room next door. Rather than all being in one room. The shower facilities were good. We just stayed one night to sleep on our journey through France.
Old-fashioned, charming hotel. Beautiful old building and friendly, kind staff. Our family room turned out to be two adjoining en-suite bedrooms which thrilled our teen! Pizzas were delicious! Gorgeous little dog called Peps, who made our day! Felt like a proper independent French hotel experience!
