It was also clean which is never easy for old houses. What I like the most is that you're kind of isolated from large urban areas in a huge house which is what we were looking for. We went on winter time so we used the fireplace a lot which gives a warm, cozy atmosphere to the house. There's a large yard where we could park two cars. Supermarkets and gas stations are around 10 minutes away by car.

The hosts were so friendly although we struggled with my three words of schoolboy French they were always patient and very helpful.
