We loved staying at La Clé du Puy. The room was very stylish, clean & comfortable. Parking was in the grounds of the house and we were able to store our bike & bike rack safely. Finally, our hosts was very kind & friendly and served a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

The location is ideal for exploring the area of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Ile de Re and Ile d'Oleron. The setting of the hotel overlooking the lakes was perfect and tranquil. Very kind and helpful staff.

First impression on arrival was very positive. The building is truly stunning, as is the garden. Second impression: delightful reception welcome, and really interesting and historic games room and lounge. All the public areas were stunning. And then we got to the bedroom ... It was fine, but wow it was a step down from the rest of the hotel (it really did feel like a different hotel). Suddenly upstairs it felt like an old-fashioned 1980s pub. The contrast was jarring.
