The location is beautiful right on a gorgeous lake absolutely full to the brim with wildlife such as swans, ducks, heron, beavers, and more. The water park is awesome with fun slides for different ages, wave machine, lazy river, rapid river, and a play area with slides and another for very little children. The kids loved it in there. They also loved the indoor golf, the Jeep safari and the Pony rides. There were a few outdoor play structures and the beach is also very nice. The food at the restaurants was good but we ate at the lodge more often for convenience and frankly greater choice from home cooking.

Very quiet village location. The apartment was exceptionally well fitted with a bath and a large shower. Each appartment had a different theme.

We were two tired and hungry pilgrims on the Via Francigena who arrived without food due to another French public holiday in May and a lack of shops in the area. We also had difficulty finding accommodation and Bouconville-Vauclair is not on the designated route. The hostess, Magali, was simply outstanding. She offered to prepare us an evening meal – which was magnificent, and this was followed with a superb breakfast the next morning. The accommodation can more correctly described as a newly constructed self-contained unit with all amenities you require. Magali turned our brief stay into one of the highlights of our entire walk. Everything about this place was good. We stayed in the best room in the hotel and it was not a room but a flat. We had a bedroom and a living room and a big balcony with a jacusi. The bed was wide and very comfortable and the bath room was a ballroom. There is a very nice terrace facing the garden in front of the restaurant. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was Michelin star quality and the breakfast was typical French but very good.
Bruyères-et-Montbérault (Near Chamouille)

Very clean property in a convenient location (and a great bakery just down the street). Urcel is just minutes away from Laon so a great option to staying in a big city. Chemin des Dammes historics sites just to the south.
