This is the most unique property with a mixture of history and modern design. The host could not have been more welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful to say the least. Pierre felt like a friend even after just one evening and we would absolutely come back here. Our boys loved their “party” room. We enjoyed a drink in the terraced garden. The location for a stroll into the town could not have been better.

The situation of the hotel was perfect for travelling back to UK. Even though close to motorways, it was very quiet and rooms seemed sound proof with windows shut. The first reception when we arrived was friendly and professional.

Good for overnight stop and home comforts. Supermarket near by so made use of the kitchen facilities and excellent local produce to have a home cooked meal. Easy parking and good instructions. WiFi bit patchy.

The staff was very nice. We arrived in a very warm night, and the owner gave us her own vent for our kids room.
The kitchen, shower + toilet and main room bed are new.
We got nice breakfast in a good price.
Best Western Hôtel Colbert was once a 19th-century tobacco factory and is now a modern and elegant hotel in Châteauroux. Rooms and suites are comfortable, spacious and air-conditioned.

Very easy to find from the motorway for a one night stopover. Secure car park across the road and also a brilliant little pub across the road. Had a meal in the evening at the hotel which was also lovely.
