Appart'Hôtel Les Tilleuls, hotel in Barsac

Set in a 16th-century building, this property is located in the medieval city of Saint-Macaire and is surrounded by the ramparts. This property features a bar, a spa and a fitness centre.

Simply an amazing place. I spend two nights here. The room was large and comfortable, and very clean. I can recommend their restaurant: perfect authentic French cuisine (lots'o meat though, so maybe not as great for vegetarians). I was traveling by bicycle, and they had a perfect spot for it. I would definitely return should I come to visit Saint Macaire again.

The authenticity and stunning location in the often overlooked Sauternes Region with a true French family welcome which included a delicious classic 3 course dinner outside overlooking the vines. The room was large and well appointed with another stunning view and breakfast of warm croissants and bread direct from the boulangerie, fruit and coffee the next morning …the perfect start to the day. We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful setting in between the vineyards and chateaus. Catherine and her family were incredible hosts, really making every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We ate an incredible evening meal prepared by Catherine and had two fabulous breakfasts. It was glorious. The pool was the perfect way to cool off from hot days.

We really liked the location of the property and we absolutely loved the pool which was the highlight of the house. We had all utensils we needed and felt safe while staying in the property. We liked the fact there was a care parking space at all times and it was covered so the car never got too hot The property was also very clean and the living room was HUGE! A great space to entertain and have fun. There was a bottle of local wine on arrival for us which was a lovely touch! Thank you

It was a very lovely apartment. It had 4 bedroom big enough for our 2 families of 5 adults and 3 children. The living room is also very spacious. The host is very friendly and speaks very good English. He gave us a small tour of his vineyard and history of the house. He also gave us a taste of the wine he produced which is very good. You need a car to go around cause it is in the county side however only 10-15 min by car to go to restaurants

The property is authentic, steeped in history and lovingly cared for by the current family. The property’s grounds are perfect for a short stroll. A must is the evening meal cooked by Bridget.
