Beautiful property in a gorgeous village. Fantastic breakfast and the hosts spoke wonderful English. Family room was amazing - two rooms interconnected, both with their own bathroom. Parking was well provided for in a village where there were otherwise restrictions

This is a unique establishment, being the remains of a medieval abbey converted in recent years for hosting events and offering B&B. Excellent value for money with breakfast included. The location is very rural, though the facilities at St Pourcain are only a few minutes away by car. This is important as there is no restaurant at the property. The peace and calm of the surroundings are matched by the minimalist neutral decor in which visible timbers and white-painted wood cladding play a leading role. The proprietor welcomed us warmly in person and showed us to our en-suite room, which is also decorated in minimalist style. This may not suit those with a preference for the luxurious. The grounds are mostly set to lawn but there is interesting space for a stroll. Breakfast was continental with fresh-brewed tea and coffee and a range of food choices.

Great location - very close to the centre and the Lake,with restaurants nearby, but very quiet, opposite a park, and with good on street parking. Walking distance to boulangerie. Characterful property, well modernised internally. Hosts were welcoming and there were Madeleines, fresh juice, and various teas and coffee waiting for us.

Piece of paradise on earth. We stayed in the beautifully renovated family room. Bedroom with separate 'sitting area and bathroom'. We were the only guests that day. It was blissfully quiet. Myrtille will forever have a place in our hearts. My daughter and we instantly fell in love with the cat. We would love to come back here!!!

It’s authenticity. Staying one night in this property felt like I was in another era of time.
First when we arrived the garden was beautiful huge and the swimming pool was well maintained.
The room with all the mirrors was out of this world, I slept well and the bathroom was so kind of royal, I love it.
Then I woke up the next day, and the breakfast looked like a princess’s breakfast!
To even make me feel like I was in the year 1940, the host played the record player, the decor the sound amazing one night getaway for a stop before our travel to south of France.

The air conditioning was very good considering this was a loft apartment. Nicely decorated and great layout of apartment. The location was excellent, easy walk to see all the sites of Vichy.

We were welcomed in a very warm way. Florence showed us the central breakfast/relaxation room and later showed us our apartment. The pool is very nice and allowed us to relax and enjoy the sun. As a water treatment professional the host showed me the pool water treatment equipment which I liked. What we enjoyed as well is the fact that in general the materials used are of good quality. Good rainshower, airco working properly, nice sunbeds around the pool, etc. Breakfast was delicious with home-baked pastry every day.
