We liked everything! Pantxo is a most amazing host and person...generous kind and sharing so much information...thank you! The breakfast was wonderful ...traditional cheeses and chorizos..breads marmalades local honey teas coffee fresh orange juice fruits...oh my! The shared kitchen was perfect! Stocked with everything we needed and more!.. bright and cheery with a table outside in the garden with river view Our room was spotless and very comfortable bed. Thank you! thank you! Pantxo! Lovely calm atmosphere in a wonderful setting. Friendly, helpful host with good English (our French is lacking). We used the charming shared kitchen area to prepare some evening food. Breakfast is homemade and tasty. Great value for money.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. Our room was right over the river rushing with early-April snowmelt. The sunset and sunrise made for great photos. The food was incredible, both at dinner and at breakfast. That was quite honestly the best breakfast I've ever had and the gourmet dinner was memorable.

A very beautiful hotel, with a character and 500 year history which has been sympathetically enhanced by the current owners. Each room is individually decorated to give you a unique experience. If you are walking the GR10 you will enjoy the additional facilities, fridges in the room etc, and the owner's willingness to give you a good and early breakfast, to set you up for the day ahead. Paco even gave me his bike to explore the area after enough walking for one day! If your stay is more of a gentle tour, the village has a good restaurant, a lovely bar serving excellent sandwiches, and an unusual galleried and very ancient church. If I am ever back in the Basque country, this will be the hotel for me, 100%;🙂
