Quiet location, very comfortable room and house, warm welcome and excellent food. We had planned to have our evening meal at a restaurant but there were none open in the village so our hosts offered to cook for us - it was a delicious meal served in the garden. Highly recommended.

Great overnight stay to access Mont Saint Michel, we booked dinner to eat with the host family (1 older child at the table, the other younger child sits in the kitchen watching tv/tablet - I asked why and they said she does not sit well when eating, which made me feel very conscious as our 6 year old is lively and very talkative at the dinner table) and other guests which was pleasant, it was served at 19:30 - starter was melon/parma ham/tomatoes, main - meat lasagne, green lettuce with a vinaigrette dressing, bread, then local cheeses, dessert were crepes with nutella/jams. Interesting conversation, the hosts English speaking is good, the other guests were polite and helped with the English also. We were told that they get few English people who stay there.
The pool is adequate, we used this with our 2 children and then when other guests arrived, I felt like it was too small and we were ruining the peace but the other French guests said it was fine. Nice garden, they have chickens and a rabbit.
Breakfast was ok - was really hoping for eggs from the chickens, but was carb overload with bread and crepes, small amount of ham, nutella/jams, orange/apple juice, some natural yogurt.
We also had a packed lunch made to take away, this was good.
Hosts sold us tickets for Mont Saint Michel which saved time (same price) queuing. They advised to get there for 09:30 latest which we did, and we missed all the crowds and had the most perfect visit.
Our room was lovely, very clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 4.
The hosts were friendly, we arrived early to the check in time, really to park the car and then take a local walk but we were welcomed in to the house. I had some damp clean washing and they allowed me to use an clothes airer which was very kind.

Excellent base for touring both the Normandy and Brittany areas. The apartment was fitted with everything we needed, and had an “old world” feel to it due to it previously being a school

We booked seven different places of accomadation for our road trip around Normandy in July 2024 and we would both agree that Chateau de Chambres topped them all. They have done amazing renovations to their chateau and have left nothing to their customers imaginations. Maria & Martin gave us an exceptional Irish/French welcome and the breakfast was truly amazing. They were both full of knowledge of the local area and provided us with useful tips of local places to visit, which was extremely helpful. We were very sorry we had only booked one night in this beautiful chateau and we would highly recommend it to our friends and families.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Prepare to be entertained. The location was perfect, nestled in the middle of a small French village that is very picturesque. The accommodation will exceed your expectations with a sauna, jacuzzi, cinema, and games room—all available in a quiet and family-friendly environment. The breakfast was good, covering all you could want.
The unit is large, clean, aesthetic, and well-thought-out. The kitchen is equipped with anything one might need, including a laundry machine. The amenities around the unit are lovely and our kids enjoyed them very much. There is obviously a lot of love and attention that goes into the maintenance and orderly management of this property.
The hotel garden is amazing. It's like a botanical garden, and very large. Kids loved it. The facilities are also impressive for a small village hotel. They even have a swimming pool, sauna, games room, etc.
Very secure area. Private parking free of charge. Close to center village (it is the center village :) ), though there are not so many options for restaurants in this village.
Very clean. Good breakfast.
Everything was great. Although it’s a family-run business, it’s more professional than most hotels. The room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. We stayed when it was really cold outside and the temperature in the room was well-arranged. The breakfast was good. The hosts are very kind and welcoming.
+ They have an actual cinema room and a large selection of movies!
+ Although we didn’t use, the outside jakuzi seemed very clean and fun.
Very friendly and lovely family. They helped us with tickets to Mont Saint-Michel and ensured we had everything we needed. They made us feel like home. Swiming pool was great 😊
