Amazing staff, genuinely friendly and welcoming. Other guests were also friendly. The hike and reef snorkeling were nice activities. The funeral for the village chief occurred during my stay and they were nice enough to invite guests along to attend it, which was a unique cultural experience and window into local customs.

The staff are very friendly. Staying at the Eco Lodge felt like staying with a family. It felt more like summer camp than a resort and I mean that as a compliment!

It was a pleasure to stay at Waya Lailai Eco Haven. The staff were very considerate, kind and caring. Special shout out to Steve who took me up the mountain at sunrise and the cooks who made us such fresh and delicious food. The reef was great! A lovely place to relax and do fun activities.

My friend Victoria and I visited Wayalailai for 6 days at the beginning of April, and it was absolutely amazing! The staff are all so kind and accommodating, and make an effort to get to know you and cater for your every need. We felt so welcomed into the wayalailai family and we would certainly love to come back.

Aku and the family were so friendly and welcoming. We really felt part of the family and the food here was excellent! The shark feeding is a must do during your stay and the staff are all open to talking about themselves, the local village and Fijian culture. We learned a lot here and spent many hours with them. The reef is right on the beach and we had some great snorkels here, it is very colourful and there are so many fish!

Some places can be described as magical. Waya LaiLai is one of those. The whole team go above and beyond to make your stay special - making you feel a part of the island whether that’s joining them in song at a cava ceremony, eating a bbq on the beach (with fish caught that day), or heading out on one of the activities. A truly unique place, not like a commercial resort, but you won’t regret staying here. We shall certainly remember it for ever.

Everything. The room was spacious, clean and equipped with fans. The property was lovely. Great activities on offer, don’t miss the hike up the mountain! They also offer scuba diving which we highly recommend - great diving spots and a very relaxed dive guide. We booked the full day experience and had the best bbq on the beach between our dives. The evening activities were always heaps of fun and we were invited to share kava with the locals. Price / Value was amazing.

We came as strangers and left as family. It was nice to be a part of the beautiful culture and see many villages. There are so many fun activities including snorkling with reef sharks, kayaking, scuba diving, and hiking. The views were amazing. The food was so good and lots of variety at each meal. We spent 6 nights here and would totally recomend for anyone wanting to stay here to spend as much time to get the full experience and connection with the locals.
