The sauna with a lounge room and the hot tub are located a good distance away from the owners' house, making it a nice secluded place where you feel you are on your own in the middle of nature. Although warming up the hot tub and sauna takes a while, it's a nice start for a relaxing evening. The facilities are high quality and well organized: there's enough fridge space, an open fire to cook on and small kitchen so that you don't miss restaurants or catering; luckily the host reminded us to bring our own groceries before leaving Helsinki!

We loved our stay at the lodge. It was smaller than we expected but in a good way. It didn't feel like just another big hotel churning through guests. The staff were really friendly, engaging and interesting to chat with, the homemade food was wonderful - plentiful and seasonal. Our dream night in Finland! The house is very cozy and accessible via local transportation or car. Poppii was very welcoming and prepared for us an AMAZING salmon soup that we'll never forget. The cottage is very clean and feels very new. The fireplace is very warm and safe and easy to use. The sauna is perfect, and the ability to go sit by your own personal pier with a coffee ( or swim in the cold cold lake) is just splendid. The lake is beautiful. A real slice of paradise that we won't forget — thank you Poppii !
