A beautiful hilltop cortijo with incredible views for miles across olive groves and a lovely swimming pool (which was crucial in baking hot August days).
We loved the sense of tranquility - you barely hear a noise, apart from the odd cockerel crowing from from the valley. We also loved the sense of space, both in the cortijo and grounds itself and the surrounding countryside.
There’s a lovely large terrace, too, in front of all the apartments, where we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners.
Small rural hotel situated in Zuheros, one of the most picturesque of the "white villages" of Andalusia.

This is a large family home located near the highest point in the village, next to the picturesque church & castle offering excellent views. The property is very big and well equipped. It has all you would need in the kitchen plus a pantry that includes the basic foodstuffs from previous occupants (salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee, etc). There are 2 supermarkets in the village as well as a bakery, butchers & fruit/veg shop, all within easy walking distance.
The patio is a wonderful space where you could eat (easy access to kitchen) or sit in or out of the sun. The inflatable pool at the end of the patio was perfect - it was very hot when we visited, often around 40C, so the pool was much appreciated.
The house is very comfortable and Isa obviously takes great care over the property, leaving flowers and fresh fruit upon your arrival, as well as a very nice olive oil from the local co-op.
Isa is the perfect host, very kind and exceptionally helpful, ringing around to find details for any inquiries we had and even volunteering to come with us to act as translator. She obviously takes great pride in her family home and village and this shows and was much appreciated by us.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
