Exceptional small ( 5 rooms ) boutique hotel in a lovely renovated 15th Century palace. Three feet thick sandstone walls with massive timer beams. Its location in a small and very quiet village in the Roija area was perfect. Thirty minutes travel at the most to all of the many wineries and hill top villages. The breakfast was exceptional, as good as any 5 start hotel we have stayed at. Being run by the mother and son owners, the service was also exception, very professional and friendly. It was a 5 star experience at a 3 star price. Cannot recommend highly enought.

Everything during our stay here has been perfect. The first point of contact with the host was very warm and detailed. The property manager was very kind and sweet and had been waiting for us until quite late to welcome us and give us the keys of the house. She then gave us a small tour of it and gave us all of the details. The house had all type of amenities and towels/bathroom perks for everyone staying. Everything about the house was perfect and we didn't miss anything.

Unique and genuine experience of staying in a medieval tower (built in the 1200s). Beautifully renovated, with great attention to detail. The proprietor, Angela, is a very talented artist who specializes in medieval art and pottery. The rooms are spacious and modern with all the amenities - big, comfortable beds, refrigerator in the room. A quiet and restful place. The rooftop can be accessed for a nice view of the village and its surroundings. There is a bar - Veronicas - around the corner where you can sit outside and enjoy a beer or a Rioja wine. In the next village - Castañeros - there are 3-4 bars and restaurants (it‘s a 15 min walk to get there or a 3 min drive). This hotel is in a perfect location for venturing out to see other places of interest in the region and return to in the evening. Highly recommended.
