A lovely hostel. Room was large and clean . Staff is very kind . Restaurant is fantastic .. expecially tarta de queso!!!

This was a pleasant find. The lodging is very close to both Mogrovejo (which I wanted to see) and Potes (which I wanted to avoid) without being in either location. It is conveniently located on the road between Potes and the Aerial Tramway. In any case, I wished to see Mogrovejo at sunset and at sunrise the following morning... and this lodging fit the bill. Just a few kilometers drive from that town. Camaleño, where El Caserío is situated, is a real, working farming town and I suppose therein lay its charm. There were a few buildings in disrepair, but the granary was full, and a tiny shrine was located on one square. I enjoyed walking around the small town in the twilight, with the views of the Picos de Europa overhead. As to El Caserío itself, I found it immensely charming. The gardens in the back were bursting with flowers and fruits such as grapes and plums. I confess, I took a single grape off a vine. Delectable! The buildings themselves were very clean and constructed in an older style. These included the atmospheric tavern downstairs where they served breakfast. I thought the people working were pleasant and helpful and it was a great season to visit Camaleño (September).
Fuente De (Near Pembes)
Located in the foothills of the Picos de Europa Mountains, Parador de Fuente Dé has free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and easy access to the Fuente Dé cable car. It has a picturesque setting in the Liébana Valley.
