Breakfast was very good for the price and the staff was helpful and supportive. The room was good, though sound travelled easily (but that is typical of most rooms). Bike storage was outside, under cover behind a locked gate. The breakfast area was very pleasant.

We enjoyed the typical Spanish breakfast and ate mostly at the nearby Puerta del Sol restaurant which was excellent. Lierganes is a beautiful old Spanish village in lovely countryside and easily accessible by car or train. The Posada is a lovely place to stay with welcoming hosts who went out of their way to enhance our stay. We also had an opportunity to practise our Spanish with them.

The host gave us a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. The room itself had wonderful views of the mountains and countryside. We went for a short walk and saw eagles albeit it from a distance. The host got up early to provide us with breakfast as we had to leave early for the ferry
