Kõiguste (Near Laimjala)

Peace and quietness were the things we were looking for and this is what we got. Lucky for us, there were not so many other guests at that time. Considering the location, it really is kind of in the middle of nowhere - approx 35 km from the main town of the island - Kuressaare. But roads are good, with a car one can travel everywhere. And this is what we did - visited very many different places on the island and covered some 400 km within 3,5 days :) We stayed for 3 nights, and had pre-ordered breakfast only one morning. That was excellent: large variety of different local food: rhubarb and apple juices, veggies, berries, fish, even pancakes by the little charming pancake-shef etc. On other mornings used the terrace with a nice view for our own picnic. Regarding the venue - we were accommodated in the new building, which is very clean and modern, all rooms are designed differently - all very pretty. Shared bathroom. No table, chairs or cupboard in the rooms though (not at least in ours), could of used coat hooks for hanging the towels. Nice people and well-maintained surroundings. All-in-all: a wonderful place for a quiet stay!

The house and surroundings are picturesque and us Finns also enjoyed the wood heated sauna and barrel very much. Also enjoyed cooking with the charcoal grill in the outdoor kitchen (watch out for the fox, though). The host, Taavo, is genuine and warm-hearted , and he lives close in case you need anything during your stay.

Lithuania
The stay was blissful! We arrived on the first night of Christmas and Külli greeted us with a lovely bottle of local Gloggi. The sea was frozen and it was very windy, but the cottage was so cozy, that we didn't mind the icy weather at all. It's a beautiful and quiet location with everything you need to disconnect - a fully equipped kitchen, a sauna, a fireplace, and a vast space to look out to. A highly recommended getaway.

It's a beautiful cozy house in a lovely neighborhood, equipped with all the necessities. A quiet and comfy place, which is even better than the photos. If the sky is clear, you can see hundreds of stars - unusual for a big-city person. Thank you, Anu, for a great vacation :)

Peaceful location with nothing to do but sit and soak in the atmosphere. The perfect place to relax in nature. The cabin is simple and clean, and still cosy with everything you need for a quiet holiday. Lots of blankets and pillows. The wrap around deck is perfect for a morning stretch as the swans sail past and superb for an evening vino as the geese honk to a long twilight.

If you want to stay overnight in the fairytail, away from society, with a chance to meet e.g. a fox, it is a definitely right place! It is located away from the main road in the middle of the forest/fields. It is privately owned farm, complex of the renovated and equipped old wooden buildings. Owners are very hospitable and supportive. Small rooms are simple, just for overnight stay. 6 persons room is wide, with possibility to spend longer time indoors. There is a terrace outside, with light and grill equipment. We really enjoyed the absence of the noize, there are only natural sounds. Rich breakfast is served for an extra price. It is possible to use washing machine for an extra fee.
Tornimäe (Near Laimjala)
