This is an amazing hotel to stay at close to the river Elbe. The room we had was exceptional and I think we must have been uprgraded! It was actually a suite of rooms. The place is really up to date with high quality decor, joinery, plumbing fittings, beds and pretty much everything else. Superb ambience in the restaurant and breakfast room with great, beautifully cooked food. The staff could not have been more helpful and were a delight to talk to. Ottendorf is a quiet and attractive town with the hotel located in the heart of it. I recommened the place unreservedly. Impossible to fault!

Always a pleasure to visit Das Donners in Cuxhaven.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Altstadthotel Eibsen was such a good choice. Very attractive traditional building and lovely garden running along the spacious breakfast room. restaurant in-house too. as we had to travel home after our stay in Otterndorf, we treated ourselves to a family ‚suite‘. it had a relaxing seating area and a single and double bedroom. spacious bathroom.
because of our time error, we came to breakfast way too early on the last morning, but were served as quickly as possible, and with a smile. thank you.
