The Rainhof Scheune is a historic farmyard hotel in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park, 12 km from Freiburg. It offers theme rooms with traditional wooden furniture, modern spa area and free internet. Guests can enjoy a certified restaurant on site, and a local market selling regional produce in the surrounding area.

We were accommodated in 'Landhaus' which is a very spacious room that was well designed with a huge comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom. Although we didn't have breakfast, we did have our evening meals in the restaurant. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. As part of the tourist tax we were given tickets for free travel on the local trains and busses. We caught the train from the local station (5 to 10 min walk) into Freiburg for the day - quick, easy and free! There is a honesty fridge in the common area with wine and soft drinks, a great idea. We had a great two night stay and would not hesitate in coming back!

The apartments were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated, there was everything you needed, the beds were comfortable, the territory was spacious, with various entertainment options, due to weather conditions, we didn't get to visit the pool, but we will definitely do it next time!
