Great place in the jungle with very nice and helpful host. The breakfast was delicious and was served at the terrace with the view of the canopies with lot of birds including hummingbirds or toucans! Ideal for anybody looking for quiet and remote place for affordable price.

We loved Garden of Heliconias Lodge! It is a small lodge with only three cabins. Ours was basic but very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. We had two fans in our room; it can get hot during the day but the cabin is well ventilated with mesh windows and it was fine to sleep at night. The lodge is so close to the beach you can hear the waves at night. We ate all our meals at the lodge; the food was excellent and varied. Purified water is provided, which was really appreciated. The owners David and Elena are wonderful people and very friendly. They will do anything they can to make your stay comfortable. They booked our tour to Corcovado and can help to book any tours you want to do. They will also help you book the taxi boat from Sierpe. The lodge is a bit further than Drake Bay; a further 5mn by taxi boat (we were dropped after people were dropped at Drake Bay at no extra cost). It is a wet landing so be prepared. David or Elena will be on the beach waiting for you. There is a beautiful costal trail if you wish to walk to Drake Bay (it takes maybe 45mn). All together, we had a wonderful time at the lodge. Great location, beautiful view from balcony, very spacious and clean rooms with everything you need. Breakfast was brilliant, especially since we could have at as early as 5:20am, before the start of our tour to Sirena station. The hotel is a 5-10 mins walk from the beach, where the boats depart for excursions.

The area of hotel was amazing! A garden with lots of animals, aguti, birds- ara parrots, colibers. I loved to wake up very early and watch it on our balcony. The owners were very friendly, they gave us a drive from the boat. The hotel is at the end of this small village and that makes it much more charming. The air conditioner is only in bedroom but it wasn’t obstacle for us.

I had a very peaceful and special stay at this property which is locally owned and operated. I felt like I was in paradise. The property is beautiful and very well maintained and cared for. There are many different tree species which attract lots of wildlife. I saw lots of wildlife without having to look for any. The cabin I stayed in was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It had a fan and a great shower. I also enjoyed laying on the hammock and just listening to birds and monkeys while having the sound of the waves crashing in the background. The beach (Playa Las Caletas) is a 4 minute walk and is absolutely gorgeous. I swam there a couple of times and had the entire beach to myself. I also watched the most beautiful sunset from there. The lodge is also a 4 minute walk to get on the Drake Bay public trail (can go either direction) which is such a great trail along the beach. The food that was served was delicious and wholesome. The cherry on top for this place is how lovely Guillermo and Isaac and their families are. They are incredibly sweet and kind and were very welcoming. They made my stay there extra special and I can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely amazing place in the middle of the jungle with animals all around you. Very clean, very confortable, air conditioning in the cabin. Cristian and his family are so welcoming and kind, they will do their best to make your stay an Unforgettable experience.They cooked for us delicious meals and organized our excursions to Corcovado National Park. Also advised us how to spend our free time and showed us many animals, it was such a pleasure to spend some days with them. This place is an untouched paradise, a beautiful beach is just 1 min. walk, the cabins are located on the beach but the abundant vegetation doesn’t allow to see the sea from the cabins. The route to the cabins itself is an adventure, 4x4 car is a must. The three days we spent there were The best of our visit to the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We will be back there for another holidays for sure.

The host is super lovely and such a nice person with a huge amount of recommendations the eyes for details (like beautiful flowers).The location is perfect with direct River access which flows into the ocean (or you walk around 2 minutes to the beach stairs). The apartment is super clean, comfy bed, mosquito protection, AC and a balcony/terrace. Truly a recommendation! If a little kitchen would be available we would extend our stay to a much longer period.
