This place, set amongst a coffee and plantain estate, is the brainchild of host Julian Restrepo, and is run mostly by his family, who are a warm and friendly bunch. His mother, Piedad, cooks all the delicious food and is much more flexible about eating times than other places I've been to. The restaurant is useful, since the place is a little off the beaten track.I got the last available accomodation on the last minute: a wooden cabin with superb views from the balcony. The double bed was very comfortable and the additional cushions were a useful detail. There is a bar run by Julian, and in the evenings everyone socialises together: staff, guests and locals, which adds to the friendly atmosphere, which winds down at midnight to allow guests the peace and quiet that they need to relax. I am so glad I went there. I can't rate this place too highly.

We stayed 3 nights at the Patio Bonito bungalow and absolutely loved it. The bungalow was comfortable, very spacious and private - perfect for a young family like ours. We appreciated the possibility to have lunch and dinner in the main house, which were always delicious and also catered to the needs of our little fussy eater. The setting is very beautiful and views are breathtaking. Our son loved playing with the dogs and chasing the peacock. A small playground in the garden was also a very nice addition. Some good hikes from the property and possibility to arrange excursion (horse riding). What was the absolute highlight though and made our stay very special was the very warm welcome from the owners - Vinny and his family and very kind and professional hosts. They made us feel like family and went an extra mile to help us also beyond our stay in Jardin. We would love to go back one day. Gracias!

The place is located in a beautiful place with an amazing view. The nature and the entire scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The rooms as well as bathroom is very clean. The owner of the place is very friendly and nice, he recommended us places to see and activities to do. This place is like from a fairytale book.

We loved our stay at Casa Viva Alojamiento! It is perfectly located about 1.5 miles from Jardin, offering spectacular views of the town and surrounding mountains. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive, picking us up from the bus center for a reasonable fee, which made it much easier for us since we had luggage, and providing answers to our questions throughout our stay. For those that enjoy nature and the outdoors, this is a perfect location where you can hike to town and surrounding trails. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was also delicious. We were incredibly happy with this rural, truly Colombian experience, at a VERY resonable price.
